Sausage and Peppers

The richness of the sausage blends so well with the sweet and tender flavors of the sautéed peppers and onions. This dish not only tastes delicious but it looks so beautiful with the vibrant colors of the peppers. Serve as a main dish or in a sandwich. (See our sandwich recipe)

Sausage and Peppers

Ingredients

6 Italian Sweet Sausages – bite size pieces
2 red bell peppers – cleaned and sliced
2 yellow or orange peppers – cleaned and sliced
2 orange peppers- cleaned and sliced
1 large onion sliced
Olive oil
Salt
Pepper

Directions

1. Cover the bottom of a skillet with olive oil and add the sausage. When done cooking remove from pan.
2. Add more olive oil and add the sliced peppers and and sliced onions. Add salt and pepper. Let the peppers cook. Approximately 15-20 minutes.
3. Add the sausage back into the pan – taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
4. Serve with Italian bread.
