Sautéed Peas and Onions

This is a quick, easy, and very tasty side dish that can be whipped up in no time at all. It pairs well with beef, pork, and chicken dishes.

Sautéed Peas and Onions

Ingredients

  1. 2 - 10oz boxes frozen peas1 large red onion slicedextra virgin olive oil to cover the bottom of the skillet

    1 tsp salt

    ½ tsp black pepper

    ¼ tsp red pepper flakes

    Steps:

    1. Cover the bottom of the skillet with olive oil and sauté the onion, add the salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook till onion is translucent.
    2. Add the frozen peas. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil.
    3. Mix well and cook several minutes till tender. Stirring occasionally so not to burn.
    4. Taste and add more seasonings if needed.
    5. Remove from heat and serve.
